Isenberg, Sides Expanding to New York

The co-owners of The Bank, a megashowroom on the ground floor of The New Mart in Los Angeles, are moving up.

Betsee Isenberg and Kay Sides are opening a New York showroom in March called The Penthouse, located at 80 W. 40th St. in a historic building overlooking Bryant Park, said Marc Gruber, a spokesperson for The Bank.

The New York showroom has several distinctive architectural details, including a 30- foot filigreed domed ceiling and a fireplace.

The showroom will carry such lines as Duarte Jeans, Daryl K, Tree, Robert Rodriguez and Gold Sign, the new sportswear line being launched by Italian designer Adriano Goldschmied. They will also offer accessories lines such as Anya Hindmarch and Lena Wald.

Some of these lines are already carried at The Bank, which encompasses several showrooms within a 15,000-square-foot space that once housed the Manufacturers’ Bank. The bank vault still exists and is used to display accessories and jewelry.
