Juniors Co. Moves Into Bigger Headquarters

In 1978, Brij Lal started a small juniors company called Just for Wraps Inc. Over the years, the company has grown steadily to encompass such juniors and misses lines as Wrapper, A-List, Wishes, Wishes, Wishes and Love-Squared and the childrenswear label 2-Hip.

So it was no surprise that the nearly 30-year-old company recently moved from its headquarters on Sacramento Street in Los Angeles to a 112,000-square-foot industrial space in Commerce, Calif., where there is more room for the business’s 170 employees.

On June 20, the company held an open house for visitors to see its new digs at 5815 Smithway St., behind The Citadel outlet mall. The modern and expansive two-story building has room for designers, sample makers, import managers, cutting operations and apparel warehousing.

Rakesh Lal, the company’s executive vice president and Brij’s brother, said there is still some vacant space to accommodate any future expansion. —Deborah Belgum
