The Devil You Know
Actress Meryl Streep has been tapped to play the part of autocratic magazine editor Miranda Priestly in the film version of Lauren Weisberger’s novel “The Devil Wears Prada,” according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter. The novel is a fictional account of a young woman’s harried tenure as the assistant to a high-profile magazine editor. Although Weisberger once worked as an assistant to Vogue editor Anna Wintour, the author has said the Priestly character is not based on Wintour or any one person.
