Optimer Plans Pacific Rim Expansion
Wilmington, Del.–based Optimer Performance Fibers, makers of Dri-release fabrics, has teamed with technical apparel and textile marketing firm Pacific Resources to introduce its Dri-release products beyond its base in North America and Europe to the Pacific Rim.
Targets include Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
Dri-release with FreshGuard is a patented moisture-management fabric made from a blend of man-made and natural fibers that helps speed the release of water from wet fabrics. The fabrics have the look and feel of cotton, according to the company. FreshGuard is an odor-neutralizing agent.
Pacific Resources is based in the San Francisco Bay area and has offices in Japan. —Alison A. Nieder
