Unions Target Wal-Mart

Union leaders have set their sights on the world’s largest retailer. Representatives from the Change to Win Coalition, the group that split from the AFL-CIO earlier this year, promised to organize workers at Bentonville, Ark.–based Wal-Mart Stores Inc. The group made its announcement at its Sept. 26 convention, where a new constitution was adopted and new leaders were elected. In attendance were Teamsters President James P. Hoffa and Unite Here President Bruce Raynor.
