Bebe Stores Lands Pussycat Dolls Shhh ... by Robin Antin Lingerie Collection

Bebe is cozying up with the Pussycat Dolls. The company announced it will be the exclusive major retailer of Pussycat Dolls Shhh hellip; by Robin Antin, the lingerie line inspired by Antin’s pop-girl group.

The Pussycat Dolls’ Fall ’08 lingerie line debuted at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios in Culver City, Calif., in March. Celebs Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and Quincy Jones were in front-row attendance to see the fashion show and the Pussycat Dolls’ concert performance. The Pussycat Dolls, created by Robin Antin, started out as a live burlesque troupe and has since evolved into a pop-singing group and lounge concept, with Pussycat Dolls Lounge locations in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Antin said she looked at the original costumes from the burlesque stage show for inspiration for the lingerie line’s nautical stripes, feisty animal-prints and edgy rock ’n’ roll themes. “Inspiration for the line came from pinup girls, all types of music and the sailor-girl style,” Antin said in a statement.

“The Pussycat Dolls are known globally for their bold lyrics and chic style that personifies a sexy, self-assured and independent spirit—a perfect complement to our Bebe brand,” said Bebe Chief Executive Officer Greg Scott in a statement.

Pussycat Dolls Shhh hellip; by Robin Antin will be sold primarily in 55 of Bebe’s stores and online at www.bebe.com, as well as a few specialty-store accounts. —Rhea Cortado
