CAST Sale Nets $13k

All the proceeds from a sample sale organized by California Apparel News and the Cooper Design Space will be donated to the Coalition Against Slavery and Trafficking, a nonprofit organization founded in 1998 to help people who have been “trafficked for the purpose of forced labor and slavery-like practices.”

The two-day sale, held April 24–25 at the Cooper Design Space, raised $13,000 from the sale of goods from several local labels, including Ed Hardy, Karen Kane, American Apparel, Trina Turk, Porridge, Three Dots, Michael Stars, Mike & Chris, Rozae Nichols and Article 1. —Alison A. Nieder
