Blass N.Y. Closes
Bill Blass New York, the direct-sales luxury concept launched in 2006, closed and will liquidate its assets. The company, which manufactures luxury apparel for day to evening, was sold though trunk shows and sales consultants. In March, the company hired Ann Acierno as chief executive officer. Acierno’s experience included serving as president of new business development at Tommy Hilfiger Corp. and executive vice president at Victoria’s Secret Direct. Bill Blass New York is a licensee of Bill Blass International, which is owned by NexCen Brands Inc.
