Los Angeles company Le Marais landed the license to produce Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier scarves last November. In October, the company took over seven showrooms—more than half a floor—at the Gerry Building to house the company headquarters and corporate showroom.

Staff is still unpacking boxes and waiting for additional furniture to arrive, but the brightly printed scarves, shawls and bandanas are already on display. Dress forms feature the scarves worn as wrap tops, bandeaux and halters. The scarves come in a range of sizes and fabrications, including silk, cotton and rayon. Wholesale prices range from $26 to $58. Each item comes with a booklet containing suggestions for ways to wear the scarves.

Le Marais was started nearly six years ago by Chief Executive Officer David Ohayon. In addition to the Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier scarves, the company produces scarves, wraps and bandanas for private-label clients.

Le Marais was previously headquartered at 117 W. Ninth St. The Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier scarf lines are carried in the Pulse showroom, located in suite 214 of the Cooper Design Space. The company plans to keep the product at Pulse, according to Vice President of Sales Christine Huynh. The Gerry space will house a small corporate showroom, but it will primarily house office space and the company’s shipping department. —Alison A. Nieder
