L.A. Fashion Week Spring '09: Jordi Scott

New York–based line Jordi Scott came out west to showcase its Spring/Summer 2009 collection Oct. 13 at the Vanguard nightclub in Hollywood to a packed house of 300 buyers, fashionistas and industry insiders from HBO, MTV and Fuel TV.

Dubbed the “Infamous Revolution Collection,” the looks embraced a punk-rock theme but maintained a dressed-up feel. Designers Jordi Scott and Starr Rinaldi paired metallic fabrics and animal prints on a cropped hoodie and mini-dresses. Animal prints continued throughout the collection with a leopard- and zebra-print jumpsuit and leopard-spotted pants and a halter dress. Delicate ruffles were given a harder edge, paired with a black zippered miniskirt and cascading on an asymmetrical gray dress. Men’s looks featured over-dyed denim and blazers emblazoned with skull prints.—Connie Cho
