NEW YORK—Betsey Johnson’s front-row guests snacked on “B and J” cupcakes, while her “Romper Room”-inspired runway show merged the ultra sexy with “Peter Pan.” Apparently, the drunken Captain Hook model who threw chocolate coins into the audience was inspired by Johnny Depp. The ultra-sassy show was themed as a magical playground where “Sesame Street” music echoed through the crowd. Leave it to Betsey to merge her passions into a fashionable fairytale. And, of course, the show was topped off with balloons and the designer’s signature cartwheel.
