Fresh, Femme and Fashionable Photo Debuts
Los Angeles is about to get a fashion infusion in the form of photography as two photo exhibitions kick off this week.
“Fresh from Paris,” an exhibition featuring haute couture photographed by noted fashion and beauty photographer Steven Silverstein debuts tonight at luxelab/artLAB in Santa Monica. The exhibition includes work by Silverstein and his photography students captured at his workshop during the recent Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris. “Fresh from Paris” will run through Labor Day at luxelab/artLAB, 1408 and 1410 Montana Ave., Santa Monica, CA. Aug. 6 marks the debut of “Femme Fatale” portraits by Chris Calloway at EM Co boutique. Calloway has photographed bands such as The Knux and Velvet Revolver and fashion designer Robert Rodriguez.
