Fashion Week Face-Off

While many have wondered how L.A. Fashion Week would shape up this season, it appears multiple fashion weeks will be facing off over what has now been dubbed “LA Fashion Month.”

LA Fashion on Broadway is the latest event to join the ever-expanding roster of fashion weeks in Los Angeles. The calendar already includes Downtown LA Fashion Week, Rock Fashion Week Gen Art, L.A. Fashion Weekend and BOXeight. In addition, there will be several independent shows and events happening around town throughout Oct. For those who longed for exciting new events, venues and the opportunity to race across town from one event to the next—fasten your seat belts—your wish has been granted.

LA Fashion on Broadway will take place on Oct. 14 and 15 running concurrently with Downtown L.A. Fashion Week slated for Oct. 13–15. LA Fashion on Broadway will make its debut at the historic Los Angeles Theatre in collaboration with Hollywood Rentals and the City of Los Angeles Bringing Back Broadway. The goal being to create a long term partnership to showcase the potential of the fashion industry and Downtown Los Angeles. The line-up includes Maxine Dillon, David Alexander, Fremont, Lauren Elaine, Mike Vensel and Future Heretics. Industry, press and fashion enthusiasts are welcome to attend.

Clearly there will be plenty of fashion to see in LA over the next month, the only question is where to go and when. For more information go to the Apparel News calendar and FashionWeekLA.com.
