Ted Levy, 78

Ted Levy, former publisher and co-owner of California Apparel News from 1974 to 1986, died in December after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 78.

The New York–born Levy relocated to Los Angeles in the 1950s and later became publisher of the Apparel News Group, which published nine fashion publications at the time.

After leaving the paper, he went on to help his son, Jeff, develop his publishing business. He divided his time between Los Angeles and his second home in Palm Springs, Calif.

Levy is survived by his wife, Lolly; children Jan and Jeff and their spouses, Bob and AnnDee; six grandchildren; and sisters Cynthia, Marsha and Deborah.
