HauteLook Releases Mobile iPhone App

Seasoned private online-sale shoppers know timing is everything and the indecisive need not apply. If you snooze, you literally lose when a coveted item is snatched right out of your shopping cart.

Los Angeles–based online flash sales site HauteLook is doing its part to get shoppers to sales faster with the release of its free mobile iPhone and iPod Touch application—just in time for the holiday shopping season.

HauteLook’s more than 3 million members can access the site’s 48-hour sale events through the app and even plan for future sales with reminder settings. The app also features videos of upcoming merchandise to further whet appetites.

“HauteLook members are excited to sign in right at 8 a.m. Pacific, but you can’t always be at your computer when an event begins,” said HauteLook Senior Vice President of Marketing Greg Bettinelli, in a statement. “Now our members can shop wherever they are, and never miss a great deal on their favorite brands.”

The HauteLook app was developed in collaboration with Portland–based agency Small Society, a company that has developed iPhone apps for clients such as Zipcar and Whole Foods, among others.
