D&A Grows Paris Show

In October, Designers and Agents took its trade show to Paris. In March, the show plans to expand its Paris edition to two venues.

The debut show was held at the Galerie Nikki Diana Marquardt in Paris’ Marais district. The show will return to the original venue in March and add a new larger venue nearby, Espace Blanc Manteaux, a 10,000-square-foot venue that was once a historic covered market.

There will be about 30 designer collections showing over four days at the Galerie Nikki Diana Marquardt and about 50 international fashion brands showing over three days at Espace Blanc Manteaux.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better reception last season,” said Ed Mandelbaum, who co-founded D&A with Barbara Kramer. “That was just a taste of D&A; we are looking forward to being able to do so much more.”

With the expansion to Espace Blanc Manteaux, D&A will bring the trade show’s ongoing green initiative to Paris by showcasing brands that meet D&A’s fair-trade and sustainability criteria. As with the launch of D&A Paris in October, the March show promises to maintain Designers and Agents’ ambience and mix of fashion music, art, organic food and “convivial social spaces,” according to a release from the trade show.

“This expansion provides the opportunity to create a seamless D&A experience in Paris,” Kramer said.

D&A Paris will be held March 4–6 at Espace Blanc Manteaux and March 5–8 at Galerie Nikki Diana Marquardt. For more information, visit www.designersandagents.com or e-mail parisinfo@designersandagents.com.—Alison A. Nieder
