Eva Varro Fashion Show for Flagship Debut
The recently debuted Eva Varro flagship store officially celebrated its opening at the Santa Monica Place retail center with a Sept. 16 runway show and a charity fund-raiser at The Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica, Calif. The event benefited the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization, which raises funds for breast-cancer research and education.
Celebrity models Ashlan Gorse and Susan Blakely wore Varro’s Fall/Holiday 2010 collection, which emphasized some retro-looking prints and mod looks. Varro is best known for her dresses and gowns ranging from daywear to apparel for a stylish evening.
Providing entertainment appropriate for any beachside event was the Aqualillies team, which performed synchronized-swimming routines.—Andrew Asch
