A fashionable fête at the Palihouse Holloway Hotel celebrated L.A. Fashion Week New York style. The cocktail party was hosted by designers of leading contemporary New York-based brands Helmut Lang, Rag Bone, Vena Cava, Gryphon, Made in Heaven and Theyskens’ Theory. Designers were at the party mixing and mingling with select press, stylists, buyers, VIPs and an uber-cool crowd.

The edited list of brands will be showing their collections in suites at the West Hollywood hotel and hotspot throughout the week. The line-up includes brands who have undeniably made a mark in the fashion world. “I think its great to bring to the marketplace a consortium of exciting, contemporary clothing companies that allow for the retailers to shop easily. It is a cooperative of cool brands,” said Andrew Rosen, CEO of Theory and Helmut Lang in a prepared statement. Vena Cava designers, Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai, said they were excited to team up with fellow New York designers at the Palihouse for market week. “It’s a great way to bring New York to L.A. in a relaxed and laid back environment.”

Attendees included Helmut Lang creative directors, Nicole and Michael Colovos; Rag Bone designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville; Gryphon’s Aimee Cho; MiH Jeans founder and designer Chloe Lonsdale and PIPIT creator Dustin Horowitz; Magda Berliner; Jasmin Shokrian; stylist George Kostiopoulos; pro skater Dylan Reider; and photographer Bobby Tang.
