Northern California to Host Spring Market
Fashion Market Northern California kicks off its Spring ’11 show Oct. 23–26 at the San Mateo County Event Center in San Mateo, Calif.
With more than 2,000 clothing and accessories lines, the show is, once again, sold out. This season, the show features several new exhibitors, including better contemporary showrooms Lynn Girard Showroom and the KLA Showroom, as well as accessories line Chocolate Handbags.
Show organizers are expecting to draw more than 800 retailers from Northern California, Northern Nevada and other northwestern states. Several have already registered online at www.fashionmarketnorcal.com.
An opening-night cocktail mixer is being held in the lobby of the San Mateo Marriott from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
For 2011, the FMNC has adjusted the schedule to include two four-day shows, in April and October, when the trade show will begin on a Saturday. In January, June and August, the shows will begin on a Sunday and run for three days.—Alison A. Nieder
