Suit Filed Against Hanesbrands

New York–based law firm The Boyd Law Group PLLC filed a racial-discrimination lawsuit against underwear giant Hanesbrands Inc. in U.S. District Court in New York. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Hanesbrands employee Yunusa Kenchi, who is an African-American and Muslim, according to The Boyd Group. The suit alleges that Kenchi was fired from his position as creative designer “after weathering what he describes as consistent insults and ridicule from a hostile supervisor,” according to a statement from the law firm. Kenchi is seeking a formal apology and “a demonstration of good-faith efforts to improve the work environment for all minority employees.”
