Dollar General Donates $1 Million for Libraries

Goodlettsville, Tenn.–based discount retail chain Dollar General hit the $1 million mark in its effort to assist school libraries in recovering and rebuilding after a natural disaster. The Dollar General School Library Relief Fund has helped 113 school libraries since the program launched in 2006 in response to the previous year’s Hurricane Katrina.

Working in partnership with other fund-raising organizations, the Dollar General School Library Relief Fund provides public schools with financial support to help replace books, media or other equipment in the school library.
