Award season is in full swing, which means it’s not long before the Academy Awards. And, of course, the nominations for Best Costume Design are always a highlight for the fashionably inclined. The best place to relive the magic of the big screen is to stop by FIDM's “Art of Motion Picture Costume Design” exhibition. This is the 20th anniversary for the event which takes place annually at the FIDM Museum. It's unique in that it is the only exhibition in the world that pays homage to the craft of costume design.

Over 100 designs from 2011’s top films will be on display including Oscar-nominees. Visitors will also be able to view last year’s Oscar winning costumes from “Alice In Wonderland” designed by Colleen Atwood. A list of this year’s costumes to be featured will soon be announced. Check the FIDM website for all the details. The exhibition opens on Tuesday February 14 and runs through April 28.
