H&M Opening New Store in Montebello

The march of fast fashion continues with H&M opening a new store at The Shops at Montebello.

The 21,000-square-foot emporium will have men's, women's and children's clothing as well as accessories. About 30 new employees will be working at the store when it opens its doors on Sept. 15.

The first 100 shoppers in line at the store will receive an H&M giveaway and an Access to Fashion Pass valued at $100 to $300.

Customers who recycle garments on opening day will be entered to win a gift card from $50 to $250. To date, H&M has collected some 77 million pounds of clothing since it started its recycling program three years ago.

The Swedish retailer opened its first U.S. store 16 years ago in New York City. It now has 433 locations across the United States.
