IFJAG Sets Jewelry Trends
Statement necklaces and chunky pieces were in demand by wholesalers and large-volume retail buyers at IFJAG, The International Fashion Jewelry & Accessory Group, held Aug. 8–11 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Convention Center Las Vegas.
T Square International, Inc. from Chino, Calif., offered personality-driven keychain and purse charms. Statement necklaces and velvet chokers were hot items at New Jersey–based Caline Cerise. It was the season for rings—the bigger the better—at J Goodine in South El Monte, Calif.
Jennifer Cassara at Periwinkle by Barlow in Providence, R.I., was thrilled to find wearable and approachable trends. “Classics with a twist, like a great coastal vibe, fish are having a moment right now—that whole Amalfi Coast with lemons and not too over the top,” said Cassara.
“I need x number of retailers to come through registration; as long as I hit my goal, that’s what makes it a successful show,” said IFJAG Executive Director Don Valcourt.
