Screen Shopping Xbox's Avatar Marketplace

In a sudden-death word association quiz, my first response answer to "video gamer clothing" would be elfin hooded capes, sci-fi robot suits and military fatigues strapped full of guns that look like this:

While Xbox Live hasn’t done away with the fantasy and sci-fi game-theme costumes, they have stepped up the fashion quotient on its civilian threads shop for Xbox avatars.

Last month, Xbox Live Marketplace introduced a feature where Xbox 360 users can dress their avatars (the character that represents the player when he or she plays against others online) in branded clothing by companies like Roxy, Quiksilver, Adidas and Tokidoki. And it appears that video gamers lead a double active surf/skate lifestyle when not behind the screen. Quiksilver’s cool mirrored sunglasses and colorblock hat rank in the best selling styles in the branded Lifestyle boutique.
