Belle Gray to Stay in Business, Owner Says

Celebrity boutique Belle Gray will stay in business, said actor Harry Hamlin, who co-owns the contemporary boutique with wife Lisa Rinna, a television host and actress.

Recently, the Sherman Oaks, Calif., boutique put up a ’for lease’ sign above the store because it is consolidating space, which Hamlin also explained in an article that was published in California Apparel News on April 9.

The Belle Gray boutique is housed in two spaces: 13812 Ventura Blvd. and adjacent space 13814 Ventura Blvd. The boutique will continue to do business at the more than 1,300-square-foot space at the 13814 Ventura Blvd address. The lease was up for both of Belle Gray’s spaces. He and Rinna chose to keep the 13814 Ventura Blvd. space because it is where most of the boutique’s business is conducted.

“We never had any intention of going out of business,” Hamlin said of the consolidation. “It’s going to make it easier for customers to shop in a place with a consolidated space.”

Hamlin hoped Belle Gray’s new neighbor would complement the store. “We’re certainly hoping we don’t get a plumbing store moving in there,” he said. “It would be great to get a women’s cosmetics store there. Maybe a coffee shop.”
