Brooklyn Projects', Glam Girls' Relief for Philippine Typhoon

Justene Jaro and her sister Dawn both were born in Tacloban, one of the cities hard hit by Typhoon Haiyan. According to CNN, hundreds in Tacloban were killed by typhoon damage, 3,976 were killed throughout the Philippines.

People around the world have mounted aid efforts to help those made homeless and destitute by the typhoon. The Jaros worked with other models and glam girls, and headed up a drive for food, clothing and medicine at Brooklyn Projects boutique in Hollywood on Nov. 17.

CHIT Foundation, a non-governmental organization, which provides charitable services in the Philippines, also was part of the glam girls' and Brooklyn Projects' drive, which drew a crowd to the corner of Melrose and N. Vista St. where Brooklyn Projects is located.
