Kitson’s Giant Vegas Shop

The Linq entertainment, dining and shopping center in Las Vegas had a soft opening after Christmas, but things are really beginning to roll for the Caruso Affiliated-managed district, which spreads out over a more than 300,000-square-foot area.

The Linq’s centerpiece, a 550-foot-high Ferris Wheel –style attraction called High Roller opened for business. An emporium sized Los Angeles-based Kitson opened its doors too. The two-story, more 12,000-square-foot Linq Kitson, features special shop-in-shops for brands such as Homies, Boy London, Aviator Nation, Lauren Moshi, The Giving Keys, Havianas and Voluspa Candles and fragrances.

The Linq store is the largest Kitson and it was crucial for the shop’s success to fill such a big footprint, said Kitson founder Fraser Ross. “There are 45 million tourists that go to Vegas,”Ross said. “You’re going to get every demographic walking through that door. In Vegas; the bigger the better.”

Another advantage of running a Vegas shop is that they get to stay open longer than stores in other locales. The Linq Kitson will open until midnight on weekdays and 1 A.M. on weekends. It gives Kitson extra time to turn more inventory, Ross said. “Vegas never sleeps. It never stops shopping.”
