Ayumi Shibata At Emerging Designers

With the unique signature cocoon capes and kimonos, Ayumi Shibata and her /eis/ line carved a niche in the Emerging Designers section of the WWDMAGIC show. It’s a special section at WWDMAGIC, which showcases a diverse group of designers united by their independent fashion outlooks. Fashion Business Inc., a non-profit fashion education group, puts together Emerging Designers for every WWDMAGIC.

During the Emerging Designers show last week, Shibata displayed her line's cocoon capes, which have an avant garde edge. Some of them have a wing-like drape if a wearer holds up her arms. Shibata hand draws prints for the kimonos with Native American and Americana styles. Take a look at Spring 2016 looks of / eis / by Ayumi Shibata.
