L.A. Fashion Week: Hale Bob & Liberty Garden

Call it Los Angeles Fashion Week’s most stylish housewarming.

On Oct. 8, Daniel Bohbot, the founder of the Hale Bob line, welcomed starlets, retailers and fashion people into his new Beverly Hills home, all to see the 2016 Spring/Summer collections for Hale Bob and the new brand Liberty Garden.

At the open, modernist house, which architect Susan Moses worked on, the crowd got to see 32 new looks for Hale Bob and 25 looks for Liberty Garden. The latter brand also raises funds for the international, medical, humanitarian non-profit Doctors Without Borders.

One of Hale Bob’s specialties are prints, and the runway show demonstrated that Hale Bob is very much in the prints game. The Spring/Summer 2016 prints were inspired by Moroccan tiles, jungle leaves and animals as well as boho-chic ornaments.

For Hale Bob silhouettes, the crowds got to see silk chiffon tunics, maxi dresses, as well as jersey dresses, rompers and separates.

“It’s bohemian, but very sophisticated,” Bohbot said of the colorful line.

For Liberty Garden, Bohbot said that the line was very much in tune with the “California lifestyle.”

But it’s a very detailed look at the California lifestyle. Liberty Garden’s pieces feature stitch work and crochet. The color palette offers pale greens, pinks and nudes as well as nutmeg and gray tones.

Seen at the event was Ron Robinson, founder of the Ron Robinson boutiques in Santa Monica, Calif. and Los Angeles. Also in the house was Meegan Warner of AMC Series TURN:Washington's Spies and Nicole Lynn Williams of E! Reality Series WAGS.
